Project Quality Plan

Purpose: Define the quality techniques and standards to be applied, and the various responsibilities for achieving the required quality levels, during the project. Setup a RACI matrix for all tasks lists, ensuring one person is accountable.

Should contain:

  • Customer's quality expectations: (Must be defined in PID!)
  • Acceptance Criteria: (SAC strictly defined)
  • Quality responsibilities: (RACI, one person being accountable, usually Senior User from BUS)
  • Standards: (What standards must be adhered to)
  • Quality control and audit processes
    • Project management (PRINCE2, COBIT, ITIL, design a quality control auditing method per project delivered)
    • Specialist work (CSI, CQO)
  • Change management procedures (Ensure Senior User from BUS or Executive is on CAB. Call CAB on Normal Changes relating to project)
  • Configuration Management Plan: (Control over CIs)
  • Quality tools (How to measure quality)
