Planning a Project is the second sub-process of the PRINCE2 process Initiating a Project
Contents |
Purpose
In order to commit resources to a project one need to have an estimate of the scale to be committed. Creating a Project Plan will establish the information needed to evaluate the Business Case and give the Project Board the opportunity to control the project.
Trigger
This Sub-Process follows after IP1. It uses the Planning process to plan the project.
Inputs to the process are:

- Updated Risk Log
- Project Plan
Critical success factors (CSF)
Key performance indicators (KPI)
