Planning Quality is the first sub-process of the PRINCE2 process Initiating a Project
Contents |
Purpose
The purpose of this sub-process is to ensure that the customer's quality expectations and Acceptance Criteria are stated and agreed upon at the beginning of the project. This will help the project to conform to the customers actual requests.
Trigger
This sub-process follows after Starting Up a Project, and is triggered by DP1 Authorising Initiation
Inputs to the process are:
- Project Brief
- Quality Standards
- Project Approach
- Project management team structure and job descriptions
Product
Completing IP1 will generate the following outputs:
Critical success factors (CSF)
- Defined standards to be used
- Defined quality management system to be used
- Established, measurable and prioritised means of success
Key performance indicators (KPI)
Roles
